1/2 Day Upper Grades Robotics & Coding CAMMP

CAMMP: Upper Grades Robotics is a half day camp for rising 5th through 8th grade campers. CAMMP’s philosophy is to enhance children’s understanding of mathematics, robotics, and coding and its connections to thinking, reasoning, and real world problem-solving. Each CAMMPer will work specifically with programmable, computer-operated builds. Students will expand on Lego programming to manipulate and coordinate various aspects of their builds. CAMMPers will integrate the use of sensors and motors to complete challenges and tasks with a partner or team. CAMMPers will work in collaborative groups to investigate a variety of programming and sequencing options when creating original programs. CAMMPers will team up to build and code projects of their choosing throughout the week.

1/2 Day Amazing Maze CAMMP

CAMMP: Amazing Maze is a ½ day camp hands-on camp that introduces young learners to early engineering, creative thinking, and collaborative play through the use of Q-Ba-Maze, a dynamic marble maze system.

Early Engineers (TK-K): Early engineer CAMMPers will explore and create marble mazes through free exploration and guided builds. They will work with a partner or a team to understand simple engineering concepts, such as force, gravity, and motion.

Engineers (1st-2nd graders): Engineer CAMMPers will design and create complex marble mazes through challenges and self-designed blueprints. They will work with a partner or team to comprehend engineering concepts, such as stability, momentum, and potential and kinetic energy.
